When he’s not representing the 73rd District in the Virginia House of Delegates, Republican Del. John M. O’Bannon III, spends much of his free time wondering why he’s a PC and not a Mac.
Right now Del. O’Bannon is preoccupied with laws, lobbyists, and lunches down at the General Assembly Building. It’s what he’s been doing for January, February and most of March since 2001.
In addition to having an awesome license plate letting everyone know he’s a delegate, O’Bannon is regarded as one of the best neurologists in the Metro Richmond Area.
Yet while the good doctor is top-notch when it comes to diagnosis and treatment of diseases involving the central, peripheral, and autonomic nervous systems working, he can’t seem to figure out why Windows Vista keeps freezing on him.
At age 59, O’Bannon realizes the younger Mac has an edge in when it comes to innovative technology, especially in the world of multimedia. But the chairman of the Health Welfare and Institutions Committee is getting pretty tired of hearing the letter I in front of every word his competitor utters.
Life as a PC isn’t easy. But O’Bannon doesn’t have to think about that until March rolls around. That, and wondering if his party can maintain control of the House of Delegates.

(I have no clue if O’Bannon is a PC guy. Heck, he might be proficient with a Mac. Or maybe he chooses to use a typewriter or Dictaphone. But he does a great job in the commercials.)
